1.Cocalar (plural cocalari) - a subculture of men who stereotypically wear kitschy clothing, have a "poor" or "ridiculous" taste in fashion, participate in BMW car culture, wear lots of gold, jewels or glitter and have multiple tattoos etc. (basically what a westerner imagines when someone says "slavic men").
2.Cocalareasa, cocolorita (feminine of cocalar, plural cocalarese, cocalarite) - a subculture of women who stereotypically wear "trashy 2000s" clothes and wear intense makeup, they make Instagram boomerangs every day and go Instagram live all the time, they don't date "poor" men, mostly wear animal prints or hot pink etc. (basically slavic version of a British chav).
3.a freca menta (to rub the mint) - when someone is doing nothing, wasting time, it's similar to a sta degeaba (to sit for no reason).
4.a fi prost de dai in gropi (to be so stupid you trip on potholes) - when someone does or says something foolish, when they make a mistake or when someone trips on a rock/pothole (said to make them mad on purpose usually).
5.a te manca pielea (to have itchy skin) - said when someone is looking for trouble on purpose or is a troublemaker.
6.ploua, ploua babele se oua (it's raining, it's raining the old ladies are egging/ laying eggs) - lullaby sang by children or to children when it's raining. The romanian version of rain, rain go away, come again another day.
7.buturuga mica rastoarna caru' mare (the small log knocks over the big chariot) - self-explanatory.
8.iti trece pana te insori (it will go away by the time you'll get married) - it will heal soon.
9.a te manca in cur (to itch in your butt) - when someone is misbehaving.
10.a lua teapa (to take a spike) - when someone is misled, scammed, or tricked.
11.a arunca cu mucii in fasole (to throw the boogers in the beans) - when someone screws up, messed up.
12. a fi dus cu pluta (to be gone on a raft) - to go crazy, insane
13.a isi baga picioarele (to stick their feet in) - calling it quits, "screw it"
14.a da la rate (to give to the ducks) - when someone throws up, drops food. Another version of a da la morti (to give to the dead).
15.ce p*la mea (what my d*ck) - what the f*ck.
16.a avea o piatra pe inima (to have a rock on your heart) - when someones sad, stressed, down, low.
